GEORGE Projects, Commonwealth Residence

For my master bedroom re-design project, we are going to be using this gorgeous Robert Allen pattern as the bedding & consequently, the focal point.

Yesterday, I shopped furniture including an accent chair. Which do you prefer? This West Elm "Sweep" Chair in Elephant Leather and Silver Nailheads ($699.00)?

This Ralph Lauren "Driscoll" Library Chair by Macy's in a Heathered Grey Linen-looking upholstery with bronze nailheads ($1099.00)?

Or this Martha Stewart by Macy's "Kent" chair in a flax-y grey color with silver nailheads ($1049.00)?

I think I have finally hit the nail on the head because I love all 3!! I love this little sweetie the most however. (Selby & Emily, 10 weeks old).

Hope you're having a good week!

  1. I like the Ralph Lauren one the best, I love the color with the fabric you chose. I think the west elm one is a bit too similar in shades with the fabric and will just kinda blend in. The RL will pop, especially if you add a throw pillow in your new fabric. And I don't like the Martha one because I don't like her, otherwise its a pretty chair:)

    Selby is adorable!!!

  2. I like the Martha Stewart one, but mostly because it looks the most comfortable...I would sink into that chair...the others I would just sit in. So I guess it depends what kind of chair you are going for- a sitting or a sinking one:)
Can't wait to see you this weekend!

  3. Thanks for the feedback! Besides being very valid considerations, it really helps me to anticipate what the client might think as well!

  4. I am going to vote for the West Elm chair. I am not sure how it feels when you sit in it, but I love the look. Your baby is super cute!

    Happy Weekend!

  5. I'm in favor of the RL one because of the high arms. I think a chair is more comfortable if you have an edge to lean against or rest your arms.
