I do understand the idea of the backless in certain types of rooms, like open floorplans. I can picture having a party with music & lots of conversation, people sitting on the open side talking to a group of people on the other side of the sofa. I see this more of a party thing instead of everyday living thing. I don't like; I think these are just ugly.
